Akizuki is a large Japanese pear known for its beautiful round shape, refreshing juiciness, and rich sweetness.
Grown with care at Gokan Farm in Takasaki, Gunma, each pear is harvested at the right time and carefully selected before being sent to you — bringing the fresh taste of Gunma straight to your table.
Akizuki has a wonderful balance of qualities from three well-loved Japanese pear varieties: the sweetness of Kosui, the juiciness of Hosui, and the excellent keeping quality of Niitaka.
Its name, “Akizuki,” combines Aki (秋), meaning autumn, and Tsuki (月), meaning moon — inspired by its autumn harvest and beautifully round, moon-like shape.
With its fruity aroma, crisp texture, and generous sweetness, Akizuki is a wonderful taste of Japanese autumn.
